VISITOR ECONOMY

Supported by a number of businesses in Cornwall’s visitor economy, the Cornwall China Business Council’s mission is to optimally attract more Chinese visitors to enjoy the delights of this lovely county.

 

As project lead, UKNCC is:

  1. Advising on social media marketing.
  2. Supporting customer segment optimisation.
  3. Co-organising regional delegations.
 

CLIMATE CHANGE

From 2022-2025, UKNCC worked with Manchester City Council; Wuhan City; the Chinese Embassy in London; and British Consul General in Wuhan; to deliver a process to explore the potential for bilateral co-operation on hydrogen mega projects in cities. 

 As project lead, UKNCC delivered:

  1. Three bilateral trade and investment events.
  2. A series of policy panels.
  3. Two MOUs between British and Chinese parties, establishing a framework for cooperation.

GLOBAL HEALTH

From 2022 to 2024, UKNCC served as Secretariat to a consortium of ten British Universities exploring the potential for bilateral co-operation in cancer, diabetes, dementia, improved imaging of chronic diseases, and health and social systems research.

As project lead, UKNCC delivered:

  1. Improved governance of the consortium.
  2. Reduced financial and other risks.
  3. The consortium’s first funding from the British Government Science and Technology Network’s Global Partnership Fund.
